While speaking at a fundraiser for the AIC church in Njoro, Nakuru county together with area MP Charity Kathambi Chepkwony, Kuria termed the move by Raila as Christian who accepted salvation.

"We are happy that our prayers have been answered since even those that we thought cannot be saved have finally seen the salvation. I want to say that I welcome Mr Raila Odinga into the government with open arms because we the Agikuyu say it is better late than not being able to reach your destination," said Kuria.

The lawmaker also said that he repeatedly urged Odinga to quit active politics before the 2017 elections but he did not listen.

"After 2007 and 2013 elections I told Raila to go home with Mwai Kibaki but he did not listen now that he has accepted to go home with President Uhuru Kenyatta I see no problem in that," he said.

"We also want to urge Uhuru and Raila to work together and as the sun sets in their political journey they should hold together as they go home as we continue with Deputy President William Ruto to further prosper Kenya. God works in many ways Raila has really worked for the nation but every beginning has an end," he added

Kuria also said Raila has affirmed to him that he will not be on the ballot in 2022.

The Legislator also had a message for three NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi.

"Let me tell the others, those complaining that they were not consulted, life is like that they should just accept that they have been outsmarted they should come and face us in 2022 and those planning to retire can do so as well," he said.
