One month after skipping the controversial swearing in of Raila Odinga as the 'people's president' ,Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has put it clear that he must be on the ballot in 2022 presidential elections.
His absence together with Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi elicited a lot of reactions in the NASA and a good number of Raila Odinga's allies were quoted branding then cowards.
Wetangula made the revelations while addressing secondary school principals in Kisumu during the closing ceremony of the secondary school heads meeting from Bungoma.
"Without any fear of contradiction, I will be on the ballot in 2022 and am asking my brother Raila, my brother Kalonzo and my brother Mudavadi to let me try this horse this time, “.Said the Bungoma county senator.
This comes a few days after the ODM party announced that it might have to go alone in 2022 general elections following the high tension in the Coalition after Kalonzo failed to be sworn to deputise Raila Odinga.
Wetangula added that anybody else is free to ask for his support since that is what politics is about.
"This does not preclude anybody else from asking me to support them because that is what politics is all about,” he said.
Wentangula also said that Nasa Coalition is still 'intact' and asked the Western region to support him in his presidential ambitions.
