Situated at the heart of Kesses, Moi University is definitely one of the top universities in Kenya. The university provides a variety of courses enabling students to pursue a course of their interest. It has several schools such as the school of arts and social sciences, school of information science and many more. Some of the schools are however outstanding because they are more developed than others in terms of infrastructure.
Well, here are some of those schools that are developed;
The School of Information Science
It is located next to The Margaret Thatcher library. It is one of the most uniquely designed schools with all of its classes taking place under one building. Its seats are comfortable unlike those of other schools which use metallic chairs. The school's washrooms are also well maintained with mirrors and clean water. It also houses Moi University's radio station (103.9 M.U FM ). Most of the university's official events take place at The School of Information Science.
The School of Engineering
One unique thing about this school is that it is located at the far end of the school away from other schools. The fact that it is isolated provides a good learning environment for the students. The Engineering students have their own special hostels known as Ngeria halls which are situated near the school. It has a gorgeous environment and most of the students go there for photo shoots.
The School of Biological Sciences
It is located near the school of engineering away from the busy academic highway and students center. Its location provides a good learning atmosphere for the students. The school's WIFI is one of the strongest in the university. All the classes take place under one building making it easy for students to switch from one class to another.
Other schools such as the school of education and the school of arts and social sciences are in dire need of development. Their washrooms are poorly maintained. The WIFI is also poor and not strong enough to reach the classes. The seats are metallic making it uncomfortable for students to seat on them for long hours.
