A elderly woman and her daughter from Gatundu North Sub County have been arrested by police for allegedly killing an eight-month-old infant and burying it in their farm. Agnes Wangui, 32, and her mother Wanjiku Muchiri who are from Gathumbi village allegedly killed the infant baby girl who was daughter to Wangui on Thursday last week. According to Wangu’s brother Mr Reuben Kogi Muchiri, the two had been behaving strangely before the incident while claiming they were possessed by demons. Speaking to Hivisasa, Kogi said he got the shocking news while in Nairobi and rushed home to confirm but after arriving home, his mother and sister refused to open the gate for him. He alerted the police who came and arrested the two, saying investigations are underway. Kogi said that during the arrest, her sister showed police where she buried the infant but did not clearly say why she allegedly committed the offence. Gatundu South OCPD, George Ouko said they were tying to seek a court order to exhume the body and take it to the mortuary for a post mortem examination.
