A mother and daughter on Thursday morning exchanged blows as neighbours watched after they realised that they have been sharing a man.
Ms Irene and her daughter Janet have been sleeping with a boda-boda rider who operates Mogonga- Kenyenya route.
Those familiar with the case said that Ms Irene was the first one to start a relationship with the young bodaboda rider before the daughter.
"We are shocked because of what has happened, we are wondering why the two were seriously fighting as we watched only to realise its because of a local politician," said James Kaburi, a local.
According to him, what shocked residents, even more, is the fact that Ms Irene's husband is still alive and is a close friend of the said rider.
Mr Kaburi said that after the daughter realised that they have been seeing the same man with her mother she confronted her and the war started.
Janet argued that she knew the man before her mother.
"Who does not know that we were even planning to wed so that I move in with him as the second wife?" she posed.
The bodaboda man in his defence said that the two have been failing to pay him transportation money and prefer sleeping with him.
