A family in Mombasa is appealing to well-wishers to help them clear a Sh2 million medical bill at Pandya Hospital in Mombasa.

Nancy Masara is appealing for assistance after the hospital detained her and her triplets.Masara’s babies; Patience, Esther and Samuel were born in July, but had to be kept in an incubator for special care as they were born premature.Victoria Mshai, a nurse at the hospital, said that the babies and the mother cannot be released until the bill is fully settled."Masara has been in our hospital since June and at the moment the hospital cannot discharge her and the babies until she clears her bill," said Mshai, as quoted by the Standard.Masara said it is sad that she cannot take her babies home after praying for kids for over 10 years."I have been praying for over 10 years for God to bless me with a baby. Now that He has blessed me with three – one boy and two girls –, it looks funny that I cannot leave the hospital to enjoy motherhood,” she said.Masara used to run a small business but took a break after she was advised by her doctor to rest.
