Jane Nyambura Ngugi was in court with her son Gichuki Njenga and her 14 year old daughter Teresia Wanjiru Njenga, who through their lawyer Robert Mwangi, denied having any information as to who killed Njenga.

Judge Roselyne Korir was informed that the three were taken to hospital by good Samaritans as they had sustained injuries trying to save the 14 year old Wanjiru from her father who wanted to kill her hence they could not tell how the man they left back at home died.

“The question is who killed Njenga as the accused left him alive when they were taken to hospital,” said Mwangi.

The court was told that Njenga who had two pangas on that fateful day was attacked by neighbours who came to rescue the trio after they shouted for help.

“The accused here were injured as they were trying to rescue the 14-year-old whom the father had threatened to kill,” Mwangi added.

The court ordered for copies of evidence to be provided in court before October 30.
