According to the traders, the woman and her daughter arrived at the market and tried to jump into the borehole but traders blocked them.
It is said that the woman had a quarrel with her husband who works at a slaughterhouse in the area.
“We blocked the woman and her daughter from jumping into the borehole. When we questioned them the woman said her husband has failed to provide for food and family upkeep and the only option they had is to commit suicide,” said Kadogo Oroo.
Ms Oroo added that the woman said the husband despite working at a slaughterhouse, he has never taken meat to their home.
