A woman from South Kamagambo, Rongo constituency, in Migori county, was on Wednesday arrested for attempting to kill her three kids by poisoning them.
The 27-year-old, identified as Pauline, is alleged to have committed the act following a family argument.
Pauline is also reported to have tried to commit suicide through hanging.
It is reported the woman put rat poison in food before serving the children aged 11, 9 and 5.
Upon seeing this, her eldest son screamed thus alerting their grandmother who came to their rescue.
The granny reported the matter to the area chief, Eric Mala.
“The children are safe. The woman was arrested and taken to Kamagambo police station. She will be charged,” said Mala.
Mala said the woman did not reveal why she took the action.
