Hellen Mulongo was on her way home from Kimilili where she and her mother-in-law ran an errand.

She was crossing the road after disembarking from a motorcycle to go and pick her phone from a shop on the other side when she met her death.

Michael Baraza, a witness told journalists that the vehicle involved in the accident belonged to the county government.

"We are urging county drivers to stop speeding while on the road. They are notorious for causing accidents," Baraza said as quoted by the Star.

The body was taken to Kimilili sub-county hospital mortuary.

Residents appealed to the Highways authority to erect bumps to prevent accidents in the area.
