The mother of a man who claims to be the son of the late politician William Ole Ntimama has spoken out for the first.
The woman identified as Rose Odhiambo who claims to be the mother George Kariuki has rebuked men who sire children out of wedlock and abandon them.
“I want to make this statement to those people who sire children outside marriage. We have a right to attend this funeral. This is unfair and unjust,” Odhiambo is quoted by the Standard.
On Wednesday during the burial of Ntimama in Narok, the two were driven away from the venue by security officers.
Odhiambo accused security officers of being biased over the manner they treated her together with the son.
Last week, Kariuki moved to court seeking orders to have the burial of the late Cabinet Minster halted until the family recognizes him.
“This was my father and I want the world to see the kind of injustice they (family) are perpetrating. I have a right to attend the funeral of a man I knew to be my father, but as you see, the police have barred us from accessing the home,” said Kariuki.
Kariuki wanted a DNA test conducted before the burial could take place.
