Monga'are cited the recent showdown between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga during the burial of former veteran politician William Ole Ntimama.

Speaking to the press on Saturday at a Kisii hotel, Mong'are stated it is against African culture to politic at funerals.

“What was observed at Ole Ntimama's funeral between president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga was wrong according to Africa culture, hence am looking forward to urging fellow Senators to table a Motion which will bar politics at funerals,” said Monga’re.

The lawmaker faulted the two leaders for talking politics instead of pushing the development agenda.

Mong’are added that it was unwise for the two leaders to talk politics at the funeral instead of talking development issues which will transform the nation.

The two leaders have come under pressure following their conduct at the Wednesday funeral in Narok.
