Motorbike riders have been advised to take care during the rainy season and make sure that they observe traffic rules by wearing reflectors to enable other road users to easily identify them.

According to Kepha King’oina, a community clinical officer, during rainy seasons there are more accidents involving riders since they do not wear reflectors that can help other road users to see them.

Speaking to this writer on Tuesday at Kisii town, King'oina said reflectors are important especially when it is misty.

“Most of this time we are expecting mist when it rains so for our riders to be safe they should wear reflectors for them to be visible to other road users,” he said.

He added: “My advise it that let them use warm clothes during this season, by doing so they will protect themselves form diseases such as pneumonia”.
