Mountain Park school director Bishop Gideon Robi made the announcement on Friday after Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri paid the school a courtesy call that he has secured funding of $100,000 (equivalent to Sh10 million) for the construction of the polytechnic.

He said that it will give an opportunity to students in the school and elsewhere who do not attain a grade that will secure them a place at the university.

“I have already found a donor who has promised $100,000 towards the building of the polytechnic and so far, so good,” he said.

He said that part of the school’s success has been occasioned by support from Bahati CDF which has been sponsoring needy students.

“I would like to thank area MP Kimani Ngunjiri for his good work because CDF-sponsored students have increased during his term in office and more people are getting education,” he said.

Mountain Park School has a total of 800 students and the school had partnered with missionaries who fund its operations.
