There was drama at a Nakuru Cemetery on Tuesday after a burial ceremony was interrupted by a strong wind that swept away the coffin.
Tents were also blown out by the 'angry' wind.
A section of mourners who had turned up to bid farewell to the departed soul scampered for safety.
Some were heard linking such developments to evil spirits.
The service that was being conducted by a preacher from a popular local church had to come to a halt as the clergy tried to calm things.
Mourners said the departed soul might have been angered by the fact she was being buried in a cemetery.
“We have seen this happen for a second time during burial service in this cemetery. I think many times it does happen when the person being buried is not happy,“ said a resident.
