Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has been cleared by the Jubilee Party to take part in its primaries next month.

Sudi is facing charges of forging his academic papers ahead of the 2013 general election.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) said the lawmaker's diploma in business management and KCSE certificates were forged.

Sudi denied the allegations of forgery, providing false information and making a false declaration to public officers.

He was released on Sh300,000 bail, pending trial at the Milimani anti-corruption court.

"I am confident that I will overcome all the obstacles that have been placed on my way. I will overcome the forgery case," he told his constituents on Sunday.

He made the remarks during the opening of a road linking Ngeria Prison to the Eldoret- Malaba highway.
