The Kitutu Chache Mp Richard Onyonka is on the spot over alleged corruption issues surrounding him since he inherited the seat from his father.
Area businessman Anthony Kibagendi who is based in Nairobi has questioned the Mp over the uncompleted projects and the misuses of the public fund.
Speaking to Christians at Nyachenge Catholic church today, Kibagendi said that he is worried about the corruption disease which is eating away the people of Kitutu Chache slowly.
“Mr Onyonka who won through dubious means has constantly been embezzling CDF and irregularly awarding bursaries to the rich in huge amounts with the poor and orphans getting below ten thousand shillings,” Kibagendi said.
“I took him to court about 6 years ago for embezzlement of CDF, the case had concrete evidence but the insincere judiciary system dragged the case to date," said Kibagendi.
"Since then, he has interfered with evidence and from the look of things, the case has collapsed due to his corruption issue which he is used to all along his life,” he added.
“Since the Jubilee administration introduced the Uwezo Fund, Kitutu Chache South has received a staggering Sh18 million," said Kibagendi.
"But surprisingly, out of the Sh18 million, given to us, Onyonka only spent Sh4 million the rest of the money is being used for travelling and luring people to vote for him back in 2017 and also to clear his personal loans,” Kibagendi added.
“Sincerely, there is no single complete CDF project in Kitutu Chache South, anyone is free to visit and confirm for themselves. When asked about dormant projects, the Mp blames the county government of Kisii," said Kibagendi.
"Given the massive corruption in our government, the CDF board, and the Judiciary do not listen or take our complaints seriously,” kibagendi noted.
