Victor Ogeto, an aspiring MP from Kitutu Masaba has accused incumbent MP Timothy Bosire of working hard to see him locked out of the 2017 race by calling for fielding of a single Cord candidate.

Ogeto, who was speaking on Wednesday at his Gesima backyard accused Bosire of 'forcing him out' through his proxies so that he can drop his bid and instead support him in 2017 elections.

Ogeto said the MP has been in talks with WDM officials persuading them to convince him todrop his bid and support Bosire’s reelection bid.

“Politics of intimidation belongs to old times. He (Bosire) has sent a host of delegation to urge me step down in his favour, apart from using Wiper Democratic Officials to persuade me drop my bid. His argument is basically that Cord will risk losing the seat to rival Jubilee if we participated in elections,” he said.

Ogeto added that he was not ready to succumb to pressure from WDM officials, and said his dream to topple the incumbent were intact and insisted that he is in WDM to stay.

“It’s a serious challenge especially when getting calls from the top offices in his favour. But I am in the race to stay and I won’t bow out of my beloved party,” he said.

However, Bosire who also doubles as ODM National Treasurer denied the claim when reached on phone, and said the presence of Ogeto in the race would not prevent him from getting reelected.

“He (Ogeto) was in the race in previous election and I managed to beat them. The said delegation is a creation of his and I want to promise that let him stay in the race because that is democracy,” he said.
