A nominated MP has accused Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi of being untrustworthy in his quest to spearhead the formation a 'super alliance' to take on Jubilee during the 2017 elections.
According to Patrick Wangamati (Ford Kenya) Mudavadi is being used by the Jubilee Party to cause divisions in Cord.
"How can you join our house and start dictating to us that you want to be the Cord's Presidential candidate?" e asked.
"That's outrageous and beats logic. If you want to join us, wait for direction," Wangamati was quoted by the Star as saying.
The lawmaker added that the former Vice President should not expect to be Cord's presidential candidate because he has never been a serious person.
He said Cord has three strong candidates who have fought hard to ensure the outfit is strong and that no 'outsider' can be allowed to join with wild demands.
"Mudavadi is being used by Jubilee to cause cracks in Cord," the MP said.
"This will eventually lead to divisions within the coalition. He is a Jubilee mole and cannot be trusted."
This comes at a time when political realignments for the 2017 polls are taking shape with the opposition parties keen on forming a formidable alliance that will deliver them the presidency.
