According to the legislator, the school is in a deplorable state and the money will help improve the school's infrastructure.

"I have given a cheque of Sh1.8 million to help the school management construct modern classes now and pull down the mud classes," he said.

Mr Oyioka said he should not be blamed for the current state of the school.

"I will do everything possible to ensure the structures in the school are improved. Local leaders should keep off politics and join hands to ensure learners and teachers get access to a good learning environment," he said.

He faulted former MP John Opore for ignoring the school despite the numerous calls by parents to help the school improve the structures.

The MP promised to allocate more funds to construct more toilets in various schools in the constituency.

"I will also push the government to send more teachers here because they are not enough," he said.
