Mwala Member of Parliament Eng. Vincent Musyoka Musau has disclosed that in a span of one month, he will be issuing bursaries from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to tertiary learners as promised early last year.

Speaking in Kamwala area on Saturday Musau said that he will issue more than Sh35 million to students in the sub-county who had applied.

He reiterated that as a way of supporting education, he will ensure that every student who applied for the bursary benefits during the issuance.

“The number of tertiary students in the sub-county is overwhelming, I'm glad parents have taken the initiative of supporting their kids for higher learning," said Musau.

The legislator observed that the number of tertiary learners in the sub-county has risen to 3500 compared to 2016's 2200, a clear indication that education is taking a new shape in the sub-county.

He also promised to ensure Syathani-Kangundo road and Kivandini -Miseleni roads are tamarked. 

The MP said that he will ensure reconstruction of Kavunyu primary school rooftop that was blown off by wind some time ago.

Musau was in the company of the area Member of County Assembly Brian Kisila.
