Speaking at Ndimu primary school in Lanet area of Bahati constituency, Ngunjiri regretted that the County residents were at the receiving end of the looting as they were not reaping the fruits of devolution, adding that the county was violating the constitutional rights of the residents.

The legislator reiterated his recent demand to the County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to account for Sh600 million allocated by the national government to put up an ultra-modern maternity facilities at the Nakuru General Hospital.

He revealed that the beneficiary hospital management has confirmed receiving a meager Sh20 million, which they said was inadequate to put up the maternity facility and told the governor to explain to the residents the whereabouts of the remaining Sh580 million.

At the same time, the legislator accused the governor of employing people from outside the county and allowing most of the senior officers of siphoning money from the County to their home counties.

The MP and a section of MCAs have recently been in the frontline to demand for accountability of the area governor following the alleged misappropriation of the hospital funds.

However, the governor has continued to dismiss the claims as mere politicking with a section of MCAs claiming that he has confessed of channeling part of the funds to pay salaries for the county employees.
