Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has dared the government to arrest the NASA leader Raila Odinga following his Tuesday's inauguration as the Peoples' President.

Arati said the Jubilee administration should not touch Raila since the swearing in was legal.

Speaking at the Milimani Law courts on Friday during a petition where he was challenging revocation of his firearm, the vocal ODM MP accused the Jubilee administration of allegedly using the police to intimidate vocal opposition leaders.

Arati said the arrest of NASA politicians linked to Raila’s swearing in was uncalled for and unwarranted.

“We are asking Jubilee to stop using the police to settle political scores and intimidating vocal opposition leaders who are speaking against their dictatorial regime,” Arati said.

He condemned the National Resistance Movement leader Miguna Miguna's arrest.

Arati said Miguna’s arrest was a clear indication that Jubilee is desperate and frightened after Raila’s inauguration.

Miguna was nabbed by the flying squad at his home in Runda on Friday morning.

Police are said to have blown Miguna’s gate to access the home before arresting him.

On Wednesday, Ruaraka MP T.J Kajwang was arrested for presiding over the Raila's controversial inauguration.

The MP was charged with treason and released on Sh50, 000 cash bail on Thursday.

On Friday claims emerged that police could be looking for the self-declared People’s President Raila Odinga over the oath.

On Wednesday Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i had warned that the government will lead a crackdown on individuals  who planned and administered the inauguration.
