Nyaribari Chache Member of parliament Richard Tong'i has requested Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to declare President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the repeat election on grounds that he has no worthy competitor.
Tong'i said Raila Odinga's boycott flopped in many areas except few counties of luo Nyanza which won't bring any effect to the outcome of the results.
Speaking after declaration of presidential elections results at Kisii town hall the lawmaker urged IEBC to hurriedly let President Uhuru Kenyatta start working so that he can save the country.
"Uhuru won from Nyaribari Chache and other constituencies that held elections in Gusii and Kenya as a whole so its high time IEBC declare Uhuru Kenyatta as the legitimate president," said Tong'i.
Latest results released by IEBC shows Uhuru Kenyatta is leading despite the fact that their was a low voter turnout.
