Speaking at Kimunye village, in Gatundu on Thursday, he said that criminals should not be given room to cause havoc but should be suppressed in whatever means possible.

The lawmaker went on to say that the government has enough machinery and equipment to fight criminals, and also should seek to employ more personnel to see that the whole security sector is streamlined

“Boinett should be firm and deal decisively with criminals causing havoc in some parts of the country, we should think of employing more personnel in the police force since we have enough machinery and equipment to fight these criminals,” said Njenga.

The MP also urged the government to integrate technology among other measures meant to fight crime.

He said that criminals have devised creative ways of causing havoc, and security agencies must upgrade their game also.

He said that current trend where prominent Kenyans are being killed mysteriously or even abducted should be investigated and perpetrators brought to book.

Cases of insecurity have been on the rise in the recent past, with people losing lives in unclear circumstances, which were linked to reluctance of the police force, leading to the resignation of the previous inspector general David kimaiyo.
