Juja MP Francis Munyua has urged security enforcers in the area to streamline security and guarantee safety of locals ahead of the December festive season.
The MP said that security of residents must be guaranteed as the festive season fast approaches.
Addressing journalists in Juja on Tuesday, the MP raised concerns over rising cases of insecurity in some parts of Juja.
He observed that a section of locals are complaining over rise crime.
“Our law enforcement officers must work around the clock to make sure that residents are safe especially this time we are approaching the festive season,” he said. Munyua called for more police patrols in the area to tame criminal gangs.
He asked locals to partner with the police and volunteer information that will lead to arrest of suspects.
There has been a spate of criminal activities in some parts of Juja especially Weteithe estate.
Last week police nabbed four notorious thieves who are said to be part of gang that has been conducting robberies within Juja, Thika, Ruiru and parts of Murang’a County.
According to Juja Sub County Deputy Commissioner Muthama Wambua, security has been intensified.
Wambua says that law enforcers will not tolerate criminal gangs.
He has since urged locals to share information that will lead to arrest of criminals in the area.
