Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir has challenged the youth and women to invest in small and medium business ventures for financial independence.
Speaking in Mvita Constituency on Friday when he presided over issuance of cheques to women and youth groups who benefited from the Women Enterprise Fund and Uwezo Fund, the legislator further promised to spearhead a campaign across the constituency to sensitise the groups on the availability of the kitties.
"I want to encourage all youths and women to start small businesses. Through such ventures, you will be able to employ yourselves and even become financially independent," he said.
"Through my office, I'm am going to ensure that all women and youths across my constituency are well educated and informed on the presence of these government kitties," he added.
