Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi has called on youths in the constituency to engage in activities that will promote development.
Addressing residents at Kamara shopping centre over the weekend, the MP said that youths have a role to play in development of the area.
He said that time has come for young people to take the initiative and engage in development projects.
The MP asked the youths to use the funds being provided by the government to start projects that will empower them.
“I want to challenge young people in this constituency to seek development funds and start businesses. This area will continue lagging behind in terms of development if youths do not spearhead development activities,” he said.
Cheboi indicated that the government has taken the initiative to create employment opportunities and that the youth should embrace the move by applying for funds.
At the same time, the legislator urged the county government to fast-track development in the constituency especially repair of roads. He observed that most roads in the area are impassable and hampered business activities.
The MP asked politicians to stop hate politics and instead focus on uniting Kenyans across the country.
