Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has challenged the youth in the constituency to apply for government money and venture into farming.
Addressing youth’s groups at Gatundu shopping center, the MP said that farming is a lucrative venture that young people should adopt.
He said that through farming young people will directly contribute to economic development.
“I want to encourage young people to consider venturing into farming as a way of earning livelihood,” he said.
The MP said that the government is ready to support farming ventures that are being started by youths.
He said that unemployment is still a major concern and that young people should embrace farming to help curb it.
Kuria added that free seeds and farm inputs will be given to youth groups who want to farm.
He further said that forums and seminars will be organized to educate young people about farming.
