Nakuru Town West parliamentary aspirant in the August 8 election Isoe Ochoki on Wednesday told the court that power outage in some polling stations was intentional and was meant to facilitate rigging.
Dr Ochoki who unsuccessfully contested for the seat said lights went off in Heshima and Kaptembwo polling stations during vote counting while the same did not happen in the neighbouring areas.
"There was power problem in two polling stations while the neighbouring areas had lights during the counting of votes. This raises questions and I suspect it was deliberatelyi meant to execute my opponent's plan, "said Ochoki.
Dr Ochoki was testifying in a petition where he is challenging the win of his opponent Samuel Arama.
Ochoki further claimed his agents in some polling stations were denied access to the polling centers.
He told the court, his agents were chased from Koinange Primary school polling station when vote counting started.
