Mvita MP aspirant Omar Shallo has faulted Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for misjudging President Uhuru Kenyatta during his tour to the Coast region.
This comes after the county boss accussed the Jubilee government of taking credit for projects it had not initiated.
Joho cited the Buxton Bridge project, saying it had been funded by the World Bank and other international organizations.
Shallo, however, said Joho’s allegations that Jubilee wants to hijack projects initiated by past regimes and those funded by other organizations were untrue.
Speaking during an interview with The Star, he urged the Opposition to shun frm using propaganda to mudsling the Head of State as the next elections draw closer.
“There is a wrong perception about Uhuru. There are so many development projects his administration has initiated at the Coast. We should stop propagating propaganda that misleads Kenyans,” said Shallo, as quoted by the daily.
This comes as both the opposition and government are seeking the region's support ahead of the August polls.
