Lugari MP Ayub Savula has hit out at former Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba over his plot to have the opposition coalition NASA deregistered.
Under the lobby group The Professional Council of Kenya, Ababu has filed a petition with the Registrar of Political Parties seeking to have NASA delisted.
According to the former lawmaker, the opposition outfit deserves to be deregistered for having converted into a National Resistance Movement.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Savula hit back at Ababu, rubbishing the Professional Council of Kenya as an 'amorphous outfit'.
"What is this amorphous council? Who are these professionals? What are their goals? We're professionals but we aren’t aware of the group," said Savula.
"What Ababu is engaged in is childish activism. He wants to please his Jubilee masters to reward him with a cabinet secretary position," he added, as quoted by The Star.
Savula further slammed Ababu saying he is an embarrassment to the Luhya Community.
The MP accused the former Raila ally of using the community to advance his selfish interests.
"He should recognise the fact that the country is torn in the middle and needs healing and not childish activism," he said.
