Bosire on Friday challenged the embattled leaders to respect democracy by relinquishing their seats.

Recently, the ODM party cracked the whip on 10 members among them Kwale Governor Salim Mvrya and Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi among other MPs and wrote to the Registrar of Political Parties demanding that they are deregistered.

“Being a member of a certain party means you fully subscribe to its ideologies. The so-called rebels should be ready for by-elections because that is the only way we can ensure democracy thrives,” he said.

“Parties are founded on principles of democracy and I believe that to end the impunity of party disloyalty, these people should honestly resign and face by-elections to prove their worth,” added the ODM national Treasurer  during a tour to Gesima ward.

His statements come after two MPs from Gusiiland; Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South) and Simon Ogari (Bomachoge Chache) recently rejoined the ODM after months of courting Jubilee.
