Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has lambasted the Jubilee administration over the war on corruption, claiming that the Office of the President is too big for President Uhuru Kenyatta, subsequently calling for his resignation.
President Uhuru recently expressed his frustration in the war against corruption, drawing the wrath of Kenyans on Twitter who referred to him as ‘crybaby President’.
Speaking at Kiomakondo on Saturday, the ODM National Treasurer accused Uhuru of being ‘too soft’ towards corrupt individuals in government denying that the President's hand are tied by the Constitution.
“He is the Head of State and going to the public claiming that he is too frustrated simply because some of his employees are looting, it, therefore, means that he is not serious at all and the shoes of the presidency are too big for him,” he said.
Bosire added: “as the President, regardless of the law, there is a way he can deal with his corrupt officers. He knows then only that he’s hell bent to crack a whip. He should simply resign and let other able Kenyans to lead the country.”
He also questioned the President’s remarks that seemed to ridicule the Auditor General over his intention to visit the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to investigate the Eurobond saga.
“The other day he was opposed to the Auditor General’s move to seek questions regarding the controversial Eurobond saga. That alone shows how incapable he is,” he said.
