The two had shown some signs of working together in recent months after years of political tension, and it is understood  that Bosire even welcomed the Nyagarama warmly in Nairobi during the recent celebrations of ODM party 10th anniversary.

But in a direct attack on the county government, Bosire accused the Governor of neglecting his duties and tolerating grand corruption in the devolved unit.

“I am aware that counties have been receiving money but little has been done on the ground. I am been forced to do some feeder roads that fall directly under their (county's) mandate. This is the sign of mismanagement in our county,” Bosire said.

“The county has been turned to a corruption friendly zone and those in the system particularly MCAs are endorsing this impunity. I urge you people to exercise wisdom and elect people who are ready to serve the interests of the community,” he added.

Bosire is believed to have a crucial role in the ODM Nyamira politics given his recent popularity and is likely to determine the ODM gubernatorial ticket holder in 2017 that would see Governor Nyagarama and West Mugirango MP James Gesami wrestle for the ticket.

However, according to Nyagarama’s Personal Assistant Kefa Mocheche, the Governor would face nominations without fear in 2017.

“The governor campaigned on his own in 2013 and I don’t think he needs input from somebody else. We will face the people because they are the ones who will make decsions,” Mocheche said.
