Magwanga said MPs should retreat to a Kamkunji and ask for one’s forgiveness.

He faulted both the coalitions for the mess noting that taking action to the MPs who took part in the brawl was not the best option.

He added that if the house privileges committees was to go ahead to sanction such MPs then they should start with the Speaker and the clerks since according to Magwanga, they were part of the mess.

“I will vouch for forgiveness among the legislators, but if they will press action against those MPs then the Speaker should not escape that,” said the legislator.

The MP further noted that if such options would not work then the President should disband parliament and call for a fresh election.

Addressing a press conference in Kisumu, Magwanga claimed that the Bill was not constitutionally passed.

“A cross the world I have never seen Bills being passed in the manner parliament passed the controversial Security Bill Amendments,” he noted.

He said Kenyans were not given adequate time to read, understand and debate the Bill.

Magwanga also wondered why President Uhuru Kenyatta hurriedly signed the Bill when there was an outcry from a section of the public adding that the president should know that he was the head of State and not Jubilee Coalition.

“President Uhuru should now know that he represents all Kenyans regardless of their party affiliations and he should treat Kenyans as the head of State,” said Magwanga.
