The government has been asked to urgently address security threats facing several parts of the country by coming up with permanent solutions.

Addressing journalists after touring his constituency on Wednesday, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui lashed at the government for failing to completely curb insecurity.

He cited the Coastal part of Kenya which he said have been experiencing a series of security threats and attacks.

He said that it is not right for innocent lives to be lost yet the government has the machinery to deal and flash out criminals.

The MP said there is need for the government to come with permanent ways of dealing with insecurity at the coast and the country at large.

“I want to ask the government to implement permanent measures that will put to an end security threats in the country,” said Mbui.

The lawmaker stated that every citizen has a right and that the government should strive to ensure Kenyans rights are not infringed.

Mbui urged the country’s top security brass to work together in a bid to address security challenges.

He at the same time called on Kenyans to support the government in fight against crime by providing timely information on the whereabouts of criminals.

Meanwhile, the MP has called on the county government to spearhead construction of various roads in Kathiani.

He expressed concerns that major roads in the constituency are dusty and need urged construction and repair.
