Nakuru woman representative Mary Mbugua has called for the prosecution of the contractor who was overseeing the project in which two electricians were electrocuted in Nakuru town Sunday.
Through her Facebook page, Mbugua said the contractor should be questioned over the alleged mistakes that resulted in the electric fault.
"An immediate legal action should be taken against the Kenya Power contractor in question over the alleged mistakes that caused electrocution of the two workers who were installing an outdoor meter for the company. That was close to murder case, my sincere condolences to the victims," she posted.
The two technicians were captured on camera being electrocuted while atop an electric pole in Nakuru town on Sunday.
However, Kenya Power has since clarified that they only sustained burns and are in stable condition after the video went viral on social media with claims that the duo had died.
