Leaders in Kiambu County have now called for speedy investigations into the allegations that Kiambu Governor's aides assaulted Limuru Central MCA Joseph Murugami.
Led by Lari MP Mburu Kahangara, they have threatened to call for demonstrations to disapprove Kabogo's leadership if appropriate actions are not taken to prosecute the suspects.
Mburu has said that Limuru people are an angry lot following the incidence.
"We thoroughly condemn the action and we are not pleased at all to hear that an MCA can be threatened for doing the work he was elected for," said Mburu.
The legislator added that the aides should be asked to surrender their guns to the police immediately.
"They cannot be allowed to continue misusing the guns. An MCA has a right to express his opinions in the County Assembly the way they want," he said on Tuesday in Lari.
Murugami had tabled a motion of no confidence against Kabogo late last year but the motion was thrown out by the county speaker.
The MCA has recorded a statement with the police.
