The MP says that lack of land titles has led to rise in cases of land grabbing in the constituency.

According to the MP most residents don’t have land title deeds.

“The national government through the ministry of Lands should expedite issuance of land title deeds to locals,” he said on Saturday at Juja Deliverance Hall when he addressed members of the Uhuru Welfare Association on Saturday.

Munyua noted that it is the right of locals to be issued with land titles.

He observed that cases of locals being duped and their land grabbed will decline if they are issued with titles.

At the same time, the MP put on notice land grabbers.

The MP said that he has received numerous complaints from locals over land grabbing.

The lawmaker threatened to expose officials working with land grabbers in the constituency.

Munyua urged residents to be careful when transacting land matters to avoid cases of being duped by con-men.

He also asked locals to be wary of fake land agents roaming the area with the aiming of duping unsuspecting locals.
