Speaking on Debe La Citizen on Radio Citizen Sunday, the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) lawmaker stressed on the urgent need for all the alliance member parties, especially the ailing Ford-Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) fronts, to break away in a strategization move after performing dismally in the previous election.

This, he said, will give them the ample time and space to engage in operations they deem necessary for their betterment, without the fear of upsetting their counterparts, after which all the parties will forge another way forward before the 2022 general elections.

''It has come to a time when we should consider disbanding the NASA coalition to give some of our member parties space to restrengthen themselves in the absence of suspicion from the others,'' he said.

''After that we can decide to either reunite or otherwise,'' added the lawmaker.

This, however, comes at a time when ANC and Ford Kenya already on the merge of exiting the alliance, following Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula's recent move to publicly cut ties with the alliance chief and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

He announced plans to unite with ANC's Musalia Mudavadi in preparation for the 2022 presidential race.
