Machakos town Member of Parliament Victor Munyaka has urged politicians in the region to exercise humility and accept each other.

Speaking to the press at his office in Machakos yesterday, the MP said that continued wrangling will hurt the county’s economy.

He observed that there is no need for engage in unending wrangles which he said does not help the common Kenyans.

“My appeal is to politicians from Machakos and the larger Ukambani region to put to stop endless politics,” he said.

Munyaka said that leaders should focus to address problems facing Kenyans at the grass roots.

He said that it’s unfortunate that leaders are wrangling over power yet the people who elected them are dying in poverty.

The law maker said that time has come for leaders to preach water and drink water noting that for a long time they have been giving promises which they never fulfill.

The MP said that Kenyans are tired of being taken for granted by selfish and petty leaders who have no interests for the people.

At the same time, the MP lauded the development measures being taken by the county Governor Alfred Mutua saying they will boost service delivery.

He lashed out at those criticising Mutua saying they are jealous of his development achievement two years since he was elected as county governor.

The MP pledged to work with other leaders who are development oriented saying that serving the people should come first.

He asked the county government to repairs roads and ensure Machakos town people have access to clean drinking water.
