Speaking at Motagaro Health Centre, Gesami asked the county government to stock such facilities with enough equipment.

“I ask the county to give health sector the first priority so that our residents can get better services. It is now upon the county government to buy enough drugs for the health centre and employ more staff in order to serve residents,” he said.

On his side, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama who was present during the handing over ceremony of the health centre, promised to invest greatly in health sector in the county.

He asked the elected leaders and residents to support him in the development agenda as one way of propelling the county to higher heights.

“Wrangles cannot help in solving the problems we have in the county. I ask my opponents and residents to join hands with me so that we can develop our county,” he appealed.

He was reacting to the county’s senator Kennedy Mong’are Okong’o who has been hitting at him over poor performance in development of the county.

The handing over of the health centre, which was constructed through CDF, to the county was also attended by senior health officials.
