Mwala constituency Member of Parliament Vincent Musyoka has called on teachers to develop disciplinary skills needed to imbue good morals in students to help curb school unrest in secondary schools.
Speaking in Mwala constituency on Wednesday where he led a consultative meeting with school heads and education stakeholders, the legislator asked students not to always take the law into their hands when raising their grievances.
"I wish to urge all teachers and even parents to come up with new measures and methods of addressing indiscipline cases in our schools," he said.
"The students on the other hand, should adopt new and informed steps to ensure that their grievances are addressed appropriately," he added.
Mwala constituency has witnessed two cases of school unrest which have seen two schools razed down.
