Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has sensationally claimed that Nairobi County government owes his law firm Sh1bn despite the Auditor General questioning Sh60m allegedly paid to the firm illegally.
Activist Okiya Omtatah had petitioned Momanyi over the alleged illegal payments, a move that has made Momanyi come out guns blazing.
Speaking to the Star on Friday, Momanyi accused unmanned politicians of waging ‘unprecedented war’ and vowed to face them.
“Nairobi County owes my law firm in excesses of Sh1bn. If I am doing my job as a lawyer and my people are working, I have to look for work too and must be paid for it,” he said.
“I have even told media to put it in the headlines so that people of Borabu know their MP is rich. I am tired of these political witch hunts by people who lack vision,” he added.
He challenged his opponents to be equipped with over 100 million shillings if at all they are serious of defeating him in 2017 elections.
