Ngunjiri has now promised to use funds from the Constituency Development Fund kitty to help fix sections of roads in his area of jurisdiction.

Speaking after visiting the Kwa Wanguku-upper Kia Maiana stretch that has been washed away by the heavy rains to assess the intensity of the damage, Ngunjiri called for patience from his constituents promising to have the road fixed on time.

"As much as the roads function was devolved and it is the responsibility of the county government to repair roads, I cannot sit back and see my people suffer while I am in a position to offer  a solution," he said.

"My office will source for an appropriate contractor and have this road repaired immediately using CDF money so as we continue having free flow of goods and services in Bahati," he added.

Bahati, Bondeni, London and Wamunyororo areas are among the directly affected areas in Bahati sub county with some roads being rendered totally impassable.
