Speaking yesterday at Yatta town, Mwangangi said most roads connecting the area are in poor standards. He said that though the county has repaired some of the roads, their standard is not appealing.

“I want to ask the Machakos County government to repair all roads in Yatta to enable residents move with ease and comfort,” he said.

The legislator further asked the county government to work with the Kenya National Highways Authority to improve state of roads.

At the same time, the MP asked the government to improve water drainage systems in the constituency.

He noted that many drainage systems have been clogged by waste adding that the situation will worsen by the start of rains.

The legislator further asked the county to put first the priorities of locals and focus on how to address their plight.

He said that the county must be on the frontline to champion the welfare of all Machakos residents.

Mwangangi appealed to the locals to be steadfast and demand services from the government since it is their right.
