The rotten body of the deceased Pastor Esther Bochaberi Oyugi was found in a sugarcane plantation in Awendo Migori County on Friday.

Ongera said it shocking that Bochaberi went missing mysteriously from her home and police have been 'lazy' searching her.

“Police officers have failed in their work because the deceased has been missing for the past one month now. Suspects behind her killing must be arrested and prosecuted in court,” she said.

She challenged Kisii County police commander Hassan Abdi to ensure suspects are not left to walk free.

“Police Commander Hassan Abdi must ensure his officers have arrested the suspects who killed Bochaberi failure to which I will push for their removal from the region,” she noted.

Ongera called on Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to ensure the deceased family gets justice following the death of Bochaberi.

She called on Bonchari residents to be calm to allow police officers to investigate the brutal killing of Pastor Bochaberi.
