Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose has condemned the killing of a businessman who was attacked and killed by suspected thugs on Friday morning in Mosobeti trading center.
Mose said the attack clearly shows that police are sleeping on their job in protecting people’s lives and property.
“I am mourning the death of Mr. Bosire Omwenga who was forced to the grave by lazy criminals who don’t want to see people developing and prospering in business. I wish to challenge police officers to intensify security patrols day and night in the constituency so that the small gang groups coming up can be flushed out of the region,” he said.
He called on area police boss Eliud Njeru and Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to ensure the criminals don’t escape arrest.
“I want to hear that the criminals who killed Mr. Bosire have been arrested to be taken to court failure to which I will ask Interior Cs Fred Matiang’i to transfer all police officers serving in my constituency because they have failed on their duties,” he noted.
The lawmaker urged members of the public to remain calm to allow police officers to search the criminals.
