The raiders also went ahead and vandalised the whole perimeter fence of the Naivasha Stadium in a robbery attack.

Speaking to journalists on as he visited the stadium, Naivasha MP John Kihagi accused a group of leaders who were strongly opposing the opening of the Kenya Medical Training College in Naivasha.

“In the last like four months, this is the fourth time that the Naivasha Youth Centre together with the Naivasha Stadium are being vandalised. We shall ensure that we repair and reconstruct back the centre together with the stadium and we will not at all be cowed by few individuals who are opposing development in this constituency,” said Kihagi.

Kihagi went ahead and urged the police to ensure that all those who are involved with the vandalisation are arrested and charged.

“I urge the police and also the community living around the Centre and the stadium to ensure that all those who were involved are arrested. It is upon the community to offer information that may lead to the arrest of such criminals,” added Kihagi.

Nakuru Assembly Majority Leader Samuel Waithuki together with Simon Wanyoike, who is the Implementation Committee Chairman, had earlier opposed the idea of opening the college in Naivasha, saying that they were not consulted.
